Celebrity Crush: Pedro Pascal
We know talent when we see it.
Just when we think that we can't love Pedro Pascal any more than we already do, he steps up and once again shows his support for his trans sister and his allyship with the LGBTQ community.
In a recent post to his social media, Pedro has shared a message with his followers that “progress is inevitable.”
It seems that Pedro is responding to the recent surge in state-sponsored transphobia in the US under the Trump administration.
The specific post from Pedro on 3 February was re-sharing content from an Instagram account named Humans of Pride. The reel showed the late activist Cecilia Gentili delivering a May 2023 speech at a New York University Lavender Graduation ceremony for LGBTQ+ college students.
In the clip, Gentili says:
“Do not allow anyone to tell you that this is not a big deal, or that this is just a culture war, or that trans people are overstating the seriousness of what is going on. While we feel the fear and the anger, I also want you to know that trans people have always been here and will always be here."
The good news is that Pedro will soon be back on our screens in a new Fantastic Four film - that pretty much guarantees that we're going to see a lot of Pedro in a skin-tight lycra suit. Let's celebrate that.
